rev counter stops workin then starts workin agen wen it likes! wot cd b the cause of this?

loose conection? only start doin this las week ! cd it be sumthin 2 do wiv my gear box change?

Most likely a loose connection or bad earth...

I know mine was reading 3-4K when clearly it wasn't as it was bouncing off the rev limiter...

Have you tried it with the lights on, give it a few revs a see if the lights dim and then brighten..normally a sign of you alternator going... this was cause of mine, but only noticed it because of dodgy rev counter...

mine does the exact same!!! has done since i bought it. doesnt really bother me tbh.

wot part of the counter will need replacin mat? the cable u mean?

its really startin 2 piss me off now! :x

Nah, the actual dial and workings, just unbolts and swap it for a working one.

Simple job, dash board top off, dials out and replace the 'brain' on the back of the rev counter....job done. Mine did the same and now works spot on thanks to Mat..... :D

had a new heavy duty Samson betery fitted about 2 months ago :)
