Had a look at the parts list however cant figure out which parts I need to order for engine and gearbox mounts. Can anyone guide me on this one?
There are three in total,correct?

I think they are items 20,25 and possibly 3 from the parts diagram which has since disappeared :)

Yep, you need 3.

First one attaches from left hand side of engine bay, right by the PAS fluid resevoir.

Second one is under neath the battery tray, and is split into 2. The lower unit is attached directly onto the gearbox with a centre bolt facing upwards. The upper part goes over this bolt, then is fixed to the chassis...this doubles as the battery tray.

The third, is the affectionatley known 'dog bone' mount. Looks like a number 8, with 2 different diameters at each end. The large end attached to the chassis, whereas the small end attaches to the black bracket coming from the gearbox/engine flange.

cheers anders.

so from the parts diagram on the parts thread exactly which numbers should I order?because they are special order I cannot return them if they are not needed.
as previously,i think 20 is the nearside,25 is the dogbone and 3 is as you described underneath the battery tray.
contacted renault and they faxed me over the exact same diagram and the parts guy is unsure what items to order.

OK, firstly. Why do you need new engine mounts??

Are they broken, i.e. craked?? Or are the rubber mounts perished?

I ask because, for example, the right hand side mount which is made from two bits. If the lower bit is cracked then you need that bit. However if the rubber is knackered, then you will need the top bit.

In the meantime I will look at the parts thread and double check for ya.

Well to start, the gearbox one is knackered as i can feel the movement in the gearbox/stick when accelerating/decelerating.also had a gearbox specialist advise me of so.

i figured i may aswell get the others done while i'm at it.perhaps its overkill but may be worth throwing them in.

sorry i just realised that the diagram on the parts post does not identify all the parts with numbers as the one i got from reno.

much appreciated.

hillpower?might give them a buzz.

OK, here goes.

Nearside, you need 7700818994 £69.92
Offside - this is made of 3 pieces - the rubber is available on its own, so maybe you just need to order this. 7700806577 £25.00

Dogbone - 7700849715 £26.91

I though about the uprated dog mount for mine, but the design has changed from the original so I kept to the Reno stnd issue one. Entirely up to you mate.

Hope it is a bit clearer now for ya.

Remember change them one at a time!!! Saves engine falling out...and also will help maintain alignment from original position. Don't be temped to clean the crap away, as you will need these to help realign the mounts!!
