Had a blast with one of these on the M4 on the way to Reading at the weekend - he got a bit annoyed cos I overtook him on the A404 so when we turned onto the M4 slip road we both gunned it! Very quick car, it was even up2 about 60 then he pulled about 6 car lengths in front!! - but he kept having to slow for traffic. We were racing for about 6 miles but in the end I slowed down cos I didn't want my engine to detonate (or lose my license!!) It's the first race I've had with a scooby and TBH I got a bit of a pasting :(

WR1 is the fastest Scooby of all, quicker than the P1 and 22B iirc... it gets confusing, can someone please put us out of our misery and get a breakdown of all Scooby models, I want to know which ones to embarrass once I have me cams... will stay away from Craigs's STi tho, I already know how fast that shape of one is!!! hehe

The Type 25 is the fastest Scooby, with the Spec C a close second, I think the WR1 is the equivalent of P1 today - the fastest UK scooby which is tuned by Pro-drive. It was seriously quick tho and sounded like a bloody nuclear bomb exploding!

the 22b is limited to 112mph 300bhp though and only 50 uk cars i think a bloke in my village had one when they came out a few years back 2 door masive arches tinted rearwindows and that huge boot spoiler awsome !

Yup, WR1 is the quickest UK scooby. Limited edition of 500 to celebrate Petter Sollbergs rally win. I've driven one a few times and they are seriously quick. 340 +bhp, close ratio 6spd box..... and adjustable diff.... 8)

The guy who owns it has just bumped it. So he's getting rid and getting a litchfield imports Spec C. He's had it about 4 months and paid 30k for it....

0-60 mph, 4.25 sec. 0-100 mph, 10.67 sec. ¼ Mile, 12.8 @ 110 mph

80-100 in fourth...... 3.6 secs.

Oh and according to the website they are 320 bhp and 310ft/lb

A real man carries his BHP in his trousers.

lol...

Best thing about it is (and don't get me wrong, I'm no Sollberg either) the guy who owns it can't drive it. When I went out in it, I was just giving it some beans on the straights, but going fairly steady throught the bends and he said "I wish I could drive like you do".
I love to be in it with somebody who could really drive the thing. On the B5017, his ass is grass and I'm a lawnmower.

That's stupidly fast dont get me wrong, but not THAT impressive, a standard UK Skyline on jap spec ECU running 280ish BHP does 12.8 1/4's average, but with less power and more weight :?
Still, wouldn't say no if they were giving them away... lol

Check out the stats for the Evo 7 Extreme SC, 0-100 in 8 secs iirc :D

Having been in it I thought it was mental, but I'm told the power delivery of a big turbo car can fool you into thinking it's going faster than it actually is.
If 0-60 is 4.25, that makes 60-110 8.6.... which is effin quick..... but not miles away from some of the 60-100 times that were posted on CS a while back by the likes of Nick read etc.

yeah the turbo power is very deceiving, my pals classic feels rapid, but in reality it's no faster than my car once moving... if anything slower to a point... i think it's the fact that each time you change it lags, then all the boost suddenly comes in again and it whips you back into the seat again!

It certainly does that. I prefer NA power delivery and responsiveness tbh. Wouldn't say no to one though...

iv just gone from the banana to a 276bhp scooby, and ill be honest the banana would keep up with it once rolling i reckon!

im not used to driving a turbo'd car at all, so am only just getting used to giving it some sick through the gears ad keeping it on boost. before my changes were too slow and it was dropping boost and altho it was rapid on boost i wasnt that impresed!

Its becoming more and more enjoyable the more i actually get used to a turbo'd motor over the pure n/a power of the banana!

a new intercooler, filter, and remap on teh way should see 300 pretty easily tho :)

Sounds good Craig we gonna have a comparison on the way to York? 7000 rpm limit now. :D

have you? minter!

i have a manual 5k limit at the mo untill uprated intercooler and airbox go on as its detting very very slightly at 6krpm sometimes. seems ok after that to 7k tho, but im not risking it.

yes defo matey, think im going to pod this weekend, but only to watch as the new bits wont be fitted by then and i dont want the engine to blow up hehe

Get it sorted mate...I'm sure it'll be even more rapid with a few mods on. I'll be impressed if it keeps with the banana revving to 5k though...
