View Full Version : uprated head gasket, cambelt, head bolts...
are these worth getting if you drive your car hard all the time? or are the genuine reno parts the best ones to get?
my williams is also mildly modifed, plus the 50 odd extra bhp of nitrous when its sorted.
worth the extra few quid, or are they a load of rubbish and reno are best to get??
HG and cambelt are worth thinking about but hedbolts are fine std
kk cheers

When I build my new engine next year i'm using ARP studs/bolts throughout they're tons stronger than the standard items. For a standard engine though standard bolts should be fine.
See ya
Matt
arp do conrod bolts etc yeah which are stronger but the headbolts it dont make shit all difference
std headbolts are fine.
'uprated' cambelts are simply gates cambelts, dont waste your money on a std gates belt with a sticker on it.
Headgaskets, i'm yet to see what is 'uprated' about them.
