I've been having issues with my car keep stalling, so I've decided to clean the ISCV and TB out as recommend.

Have done this today but have noticed two things.

1). The cable for the throttle body heater (not sure if it works/or is needed) has stripped and is down to the bare metal. Do I need this on the TB?? If so, would it be wise to get a brand new one or second hand?

2). The TB gasket (to the inlet manifold) has seen better days. Has anyone got a part number for a new one from Reno?

Thanks,

Craig

Hi mate,

I used the guide on http://www.retro-renault.com. Very good and easy to follow.

Any problems I'm sure one of us can run through it with you.

I have always just used petrol to clean all car parts. Never had anything bad happen because of it. Its cheaper too than buying cans of carb cleaner.

Gives a naughty headache if you clean for too many hours though!! :?
