Ok guys well basically the car was fine all well - Except this morning when I started it and then stopped it. Basically I removed the key and the alarm went off - Raj and I didn't even know there was an alarm on it lol - So looks like it is a standard renault alarm - But how do I remove it - I don't want it but also I don't want to have to disconnect the battery everytime I stop the car lol.

The siren is located in the right hand mesh compartment under bonnet / windscreen. Theres a key slot in top to turn it off. bobs your uncle. can just remove it then.

Providing you've got a key.

Earlier valvers sometimes have the alarm override / key bit in glovebox IIRC.

also check the bonnet sensor switch, its a very common problem, its located behind the passenger side headlight though it may have gone rusty and fell off but have a look around for it

i've got a willy 2, and mine's the same.
the alarm has a battery siren so if the battery is disconnected the alarm goes off. you can turn it off with a key in the alarm box (which in mine is next to the battery) but i dont have a key
cobra cant do me another one renault werent much help!!
altho cobra said if you go into any locksmiths with the barrel you can get another one cut, altho i think it might be a lot of hassle disconnecting the alarm to get the barrel out

you should be able to change the siren as these were fitted to most other cobras too, its the main box that differs. just a matter of a few screws to open up the siren as i did this hoping to find a code a while ago.
