The main benefit from not having a sunroof is increased structural strength.
Would guess the weight of an electric one to be about 10 kgs.

i want to get rid of mine tbh, i dont use it, it leaks when its heavy rain and as mat says its a weak point, think a nice bonded on plate will do bit of filler and paint roof! :)
