0-60 always looks stupidly quick on the speedo.....

On my second go of 2 on a g-tech i got 7.4 to 60 so that sounds right to me!!!

Valver 7.7 secs but then they do say 106 Gti's and VTS are better than the valver but from memory they get 8 and 7.7 secs according to them books!!!

You must have one fast Rsi to get 7 secs.

i doubt ur rsi does 60 in that time tbf. the book times are abt right id say as what is the point in producing them otherwise and if they were wrong people would moan, so to bring ur 60 time down 2.5 seconds? maybe u have but its a tall order for me

Also depends on the Renault testing setup...like the 106/vts thing. Same basic car but the Pug is tested with a couple of people in and a full tank (or something like that) but most mag tests the 106 came up with mid 7`s (7.4 I think) so maybe the book time for the RSi isn`t quite right

yeah book shows the vts at 7.4 or something and gti at 8.2 or there abouts, but pug did test with a extra person to try lower ins group

I got mine tested at York with the GPS stuff and I was doing consistent 7.0 0-60s. That was when it was stripped though so probably around 7.5 seconds standard and without my gearbox.

See ya

think mine was pulling 6.3s at york

i know at brunters it did a 7.01 with a bad start with plenty spin..so reckon i cudda shaved a few tenths off that if id had the chance.( jus de-cat n zorst)

i know nick reads old valver used to run 5.7s...and mine wen cammed n mapped wud be there b4 his evry time, so i reckon mine was running 5.5s ish then.

now id say im probs still in the 6s still......just

use parkers.co.uk, find specs like 0-60 on most makes n models of cars, they list same test for all cars i think so shud be comparable!heres what they got for ones in this discussion!!

RSi - 8.6
16v - 7.7
Williams - nowt (dammit, cunning plan foiled!!!)
Pug GTi - 8.4 (thought they'de be quicker!!!)
VTS - 7.6

oh n heres the VTR n all

upto 1997 (90BHP) - 9.9
after (100BHP) - 9.1

lookin at the VTS and GTi tho i'd say summits not right cuz they use exactly the same engine, and i mean exactly!!!!not just in spec but peugeot own citroen (or other way round, not sure which!!!!)

I did a 0-60 in 6.45 on my G-tech. I don't think that can be right :P

Mine only had a (blowing) Magnex cat-back at the time though, and the start wasn't great. And I did a 6.25 in my standard GTi6. Can't say I'm entirely sure they're that accurate.
