View Full Version : Spraying the rocker cover??

I couldn't decide whether to get high temp paint or monaco blue normal paint, so in the end opted for monaco!

Anyway just wondering if people think the paint will last or will it flake off, Im using primer, paint and laquer, so it should be quite strong!

Should I use it or should i take it back and just get high temp metalic black stuff?

Won't flake off, not if the surface is prepped properly

do it, it'll be less than 40 quid, better finish, easier to get done. :D

normal spray paint is fine. VHT paint has a tendancy to flake off easily if it isnt applyed when the object is red hot....

Whats VHT paint?

De-greased it and cleaned it all, then sanded it down and gave it 4 coats of primer, seems to have come up quite well this morning!

Spraying tonight and laquer tommorow if all goes well!

VHT=very high temp


no need for primer etc..

just de-grease with brake cleaner then 4/5 decent coats of top
