Just got my new williams and theres a problem....

when the cars cold, on light throttle the car misfires... If you put your foot down its fine.

so I'm thinking either temp sensor, lambda sensor or cold start injector??

anyone else had this type of problem??

Cheers Tony.

Lambda sensor has been replaced, but not the other two.

My new Williams has just started doing it occasionally too

seems to do it all the time, not for long maybe 5 mins til the engine gets warmed up...

Wasn't doing it that much before I sold it, so it's definately getting worse quite quickly. It did this when I first bought it, and after changing a few other things a new Lambda sorted it out :?

coolant temp sensor or iscv.. i used to have cold starting probs.. i just removed iscv and sprayed carbon cleaner in... cleaned it all out and it worked great again.

Thanks I'll give the ISCV a clean and replace the sensor at the weekend and let you know how I get on...

Cheers Tony.

I would say get a compression check done on each cylinder... if you're low on compression in one cylinder it will cause cold start idle misfires. soon as you put your foot down shud be fine.

i guess you might have a faulty knock sensor that goes onto the gearbox!
