If i had the money i would buy it.

Virtually brand new engine. Spotless body work. Sounds nice.

Better ask for the "before and after" pictures of the accident damage before bidding.

I personally wouldn't want it, was creased on the roof.
Engine that has been standing for most of it's life, Low miles don't mean shit!
Just proves a point that most low mileage cars are that way cos they have been standing around for years waiting to be repaired.

Plus there is a difference between being kept in a temperature controlled showroom than stuck in a salvage yard with no bonnet on!

Just out of interest - what does a top end / full rebuild cost? 8)

for example, how much does Nick (hillpower) charge for a ported head fitted with the lumpy cams etc?

BTW - Still looking for my williams, as someone bought the one i wanted from under my nose

About 2k for a rebuild. 100 for balancing. 100 for injection clean. And about 900 ontop of that for cams and head work (I THINK)

You can just look at the fabrication number on the VIN plate, my Willy 1 is F005261.
Just cos that car might be the last registered doesn't mean it was the last made.

Your right there pal....ask to evidence of this magical document from reno hes mentioned !

Im pretty sure major maunfacturers would know the order the car rolled off the production line. In my lab we have to record what was done when to what for audits.

I could trace a sample of anything i use and say exactly when it was analysed. Its all computer controlled and the records are all archieved.

I doubt a car manufacturer is any different.
