theres a few more bubbles appeared on mine since i went on holiday
yeah same here i have got 1 bubble on my rear arch now :S
only small less then a 5p coin :S
wouldn't try and do it yourself unless you have done body work before as it is a cont :!: and if not done very well will definatly return by the following winter (Past experience on two Mk1's)
Usual cost about £150 - £350 to get both arches sorted depending on company you go too and depending on what they do
Sometimes just strip back and fill
Others cut out arch and weld plate in (recommended) but again unless done to a high standard the dreaded brown stuff will return
:(
so theres no point in getin sum of that hamerite stuff i think its called from halefords, getin it bk 2 bare metal then sandin then resprayin ???....
this was my plan anyway
you might be ok
but you won't be able to tell untill it is sanded back usual if it is bubbling there is a hole/crack for the inside of the arch so just spraying over it again will just be a short term measure as it will come back :(
But you might be ok if taken time over will look good but as i said just beware as it will bubble again
If you do go ahead with it there are a few products out there that i would recommended putting in the under lip of the arch once you have finished to stop abtrusive amount of water attacking the same spot again.
Cant think any of the names but just works like a sealant
Grap some from Halfords or some where like that
Good luck if you give it a try take some before and after shots
ill get sum shots sorted!....
as soon as iv found touch up paint the right shade of 449 im gona use that hamerite stuff from halefords 2 bring it bk 2 bare metal then do a little light sanding around the area then touch it up wiv the paint.....will i need 2 prime it or lacure it???? prior or after painting???

1. primer,
2. base coat,
3. top coat,
4. laquer.
thats how i'd do it. more than one coat of each though
