any1 been.me and my mate r def going next summer, going to do thailand and oz maybe singapore and nz as well.were thinking 3 k should be enough to last us 6 months, thats working some of the time as well to get by.appreciate any info any1 has how much they spent etc....

my mate went for this took 3.5K an was home after 6 weeks Skint!!! he didnt work though.

My ex went travelling for 18 months after finishing school, she ended up wiht about 15k debts, but she was a lazy bint and didn't work

id have to work to get by, be a laugh doing some jobs anyway.looks like the gti6 will be for sale in the new year any takers.....

Had a couple of mates do this, one got bitten one of his teds by a sandfly in dubhai and it swelled up to the size of a tennis ball, true story.

3k isnt enough for that i wouldnt have thought. u maybe able to get away with it staying in hostels although think of flight costs alone.... here to singapore got to be 500, then from singapore to oz another 300, then to NZ 100? then somewhere else @ least 500? i think that flights alone would be 1/2 or 2/3 of your budget

Cheap return flights Singapore/Perth is about 150 pounds and Singapore/Sydney about 270 pounds. Am guessing 1-way would be about 70% of that. Think it might be cheaper to fly from KL to Australia due to better exchange rate. But if you do that, you would miss Bali though.

see i know shit! lol. do u have any idea at what stops u want to make? have u had a look if there are any package hols which do "around the world". i know if i wanted to do a world trip i would want to go to.......

Italy (skip out rest of europe cos u can go there any time)

Dubai

Singapore

Shanghai

Poss HK

OZ (both, perth and sydney, and u gotta go see airs rock)

would miss out NZ.

If i had funds would stop in Hawai

Now America... would want to see California, deff NY

I know im missing out all of S.America but i would want to live through trip.

I know 3k wouldnt stretch to anywhere near that but it might be good to make a list like that and see where u all want to go and cross off where u deff dont. credit due to taking the time out to do it, i know i wouldnt do it.
