u dont need tb gasket.. use instant gasket on it.
can i just reuse the old one??? its only 2.66 for a new one anyway/... wot other gaskets etc do i need?

why go to all those lengths on building up a engine to skimp on a gasket.
do it right summeh - gaskets are there for a reason.
most engine builders now use silicone for the majority of the gaskets, it seals better and is easier to remove come disassembly.
cool, didnt know that... will pop to halfrauds tomorrow and get some instant gasket then for the 5th injector if needed.

Fukkin gets everywhere if you aint very careful though.
lol, yea....trick is to be stingy
spend a week perfecting porting your head, only to use silicon which will OOOOOZ out and may restrict the flow ??? doesnt sound good to me mate. and what happens if u miss a bit or have a airpocket ?

some quick reading for anybody interested.....most relevant at the bottom.
Ben, do ya recommend any type of silicone stuff in particular??? would unibond multipurpose gasket seal surfice?
if you have a gasket, use it for ease if installation, i was only saying that using silicone is fine in itself.
But installing in situ is tight, and using silicone will make lifer harder.
k dude no worries i got an inlet manifold gasket coming tomorrow... will reuse my throttle body gasket or use silicone stuff on that as it aint really important is it??

GOD NO DONT DO THAT!!!!!!
i find that if u tighten the mating surfaces up tight enough, u dont need gaskets or silicone.........
