ok decidedim going to build and engine, ive got a spare 1.8 16v valver lump with 114k on th eclock, doi: * completely strip and rebuild? then
turbo it?
* buy a 2ltr bottom end, rebuild then
turbo
* or buy a complete 2ltr rebuild and
turbo it?

i know its not people choice but i want to build a turbo motor, may never go i my car, neva know. will there be much difference in 2.0ltr turbo and 1.8ltr turbo?
i wana jus completely rebuild my 1.8 block first then add the turbo,
wot do i need to rebuild from bottom end up?

who is best to supply parts for rebuild?

who can supply turbo bits?

BB tuning and K-tec do all the parts you need, all you now need to do is bend over when they ask for the dolla$. for the price of the turbo kits you could buy a proper turbo engine and just have to look at fabricating mounts for far cheaper. imo if you want a turbo car buy one, it will be cheaper and more reliable in the end.

Think your have more than enough power from a 1.8ltr plus there loads cheaper then the 2.0ltr engine...

Best to buy the manifold and downpipe from BB and get the rest of the bits second-hand / recon....

You either need a T25 or T25/T28, depends how much boost you want and when you want it to come in.

I got a T25 on mine and that seems fine, also have a look at what other similar size engines use... like the Nissan 200sx or Rover turbo engine.
