So I was just wondering what was the best/fastest/ most expensive motor you've been able to show up in your french shopping trolley? Mine is being able to stick to and then overtake a 330ci in my williams...it was a bit hardcore! :D

I remember beating a 2003 ferrari f1 car whilst driving along the crest of a rainbow in my methane powered marrow, that had square wheels.

I was of course on a 3 week LSD binge at the time so my perspetion of that incident might have been a bit clouded at the time.

I overtook a very committed Civic Type R driver while doing close to 110mph on a bend, to say he was shocked is an understatement! Managed to keep up with a Focus RS but traffic was really busy and he started driving like a tw@t so had to ease off, think he was prepared to kill himself than let an L-reg Clio beat him! Ha

I once raced a Civic Type R on the Uttoxeter to Lichfield Road. He was gutted when i overtook him.

But i do know that road very well. :D

Tailgated by a Porsche 911 4WD non-turbo into a big roundabout. Both carrying some serious speeds. I must have hung the tail out by more than half the roundabout - balancing with good bit of steering fight. The 911 copied my sideway shimmy and immediately had one heck of a tank slapper. That slowed him down some. Hmm... rear-engined cars oversteer quite a bit, who would have thought?

First scalp was my best. With wayward (column) steering I had TLGP with a 968 CS! My mate was behind driving the dci i had. The guy should've whupped me but didn't  He wasn't a happy bunny. Tried it at every set of lights on the road, but I just quit while I was ahead.

That pissed him off even more.

Had several dabbles with 330s. I've kept with one 2 up once to 100, but I suspect it was an auto, 'cos I've had a play against another once him 2 up me 1 up and he would've toasted me if he was in front. Then we got to 2 roundabouts and I said goodbye. Again, if driven properly it would've had me no trouble. He had a bright red face as I turned off!

On a curvacious piece of road, a Williams should be able to scalp pretty much anything in the right hands.

Funnily enough, I wasn't paying much attention to the 968 once I floored it. I was trying to keep the thing in a straight line! With a few degrees of play in the steering, 195 tyres, only my 3rd drive of the car, and all the torque steer it was a bit of a handful.

The guy I bought my Williams off also had a Porsche 911 RS and said there wasn't much difference in performance up to about 80 between the two and handling wise there was nothing in it. Whether this was just a sales ploy I don't know but seemed a very genuine fella who was just obsessed with cars!!

Snap! Beat one of them too! He did start to get a bit desperate to overtake though, but he saw sense and pulled back in behind me (approaching a bend). Lickle clio 1 £30,000+ BMW 0.

Most satisfying scalp , was probably an Impreza sti Type R in wet conditions at Oulton Park . .

Needless to say he was slightly embarressed when he found out I was still on slicks in torrential rain .

Overtaken fair share of Fezzas and Porkers on track , but I had to work hardest for the Impreza .

Golf VR6 - going down an motorway, he has his bird in the car, I had two 13 stone passengers. He was sat behind me and then decided to boot it past, so I dropped it into 3rd at about 80 odd and then just sat on his arse all the way up a huge hill and was having to back off in 4th at about 130+mph :D

I loved that old gearbox, motorway driving will never be the same :(

I took a Supra twin turbo last night on my push bike. Sounded loverly, but no match for the mighty power in my quads.

Actually, the finest scalp was 2 live, went past him at about 150mph... okay, so you didn't think my car would A) go that fast or B) be driven that fast, but just goes to show. Never underestimate the next mans crazyness!

lol my finest scalps in the 1.2 monster are a 106 quicksilver and keeping up with a mk3 golf GTI on cornereing and roundabouts (he floored me on the straights! damn the A57) so doesn't really count as a scalp!
also battering a 106 1.4 xn while missing a gear! (yes he was trying cos it's a lad i speak to)

hehe, not quite, he'd just stoped racing thinking I wouldn't be able to match those speeds... he'd already kinda won... this was a different race tho... where i started about 30mph ahead :) lol

hehe, rolling a 'J', whilst eating your Burger King fries, smoking a cigg, indicating and going round a round-about, but yeah, good win for me :D

I reckon an indicated 170 would be about right to be honest too, it was pretty far past 155 clock limit anyway, still more to do as well.

Now you have the unit Jon I think it's a good chance to get the box's swapped over for some 1/4 mile tests, 3rd gear over the line at 110-115mph anyone? 8)

(technically 4th would be at LEAST 150mph too!!!)

GT3 RS at Spa Francorchamps was my favourite moment.

Evo 6 ME on the A51 from Stone to Nantwich - a guy with Giggle for a number plate, who lives up that way, we always wave when we see each other now.

M3 CSL at Bedford with SteveV6 in the car, and pulling up after overtaking him and putting about 1/4 of a lap on him in about 2/3 laps and the guy getting out and asking Steve if it was a standard 1.2???

:-)
