oil pressure ???

When I got my valver I queried renault about mine and they told me that 2 @ 3000rpm was within tolerance. I personally think thats too low, and considering my engine siezed recently due to oil pump failure, I wish I had not listened to renault and replaced it before.

3.5 on a willy when ragging it sounds absolutely fine.

3.5 bar sounds about right it depends some cars are slightly higher than other mine used to run 3.5 on Vauxhall oil at 100. 120 degress and it was down to 2 bar (90~100 is about moroway 80mph cruising).

With the Milllers 10-60 (should be 10-40 for a Williams but mines track use only so temps stay very hot when its running) its arounf 3 bar. Its about 1 bar higher during motorway 80mph work. So long as it doesn't drop to absolutly nothing and doesn't go over 5 bar when its realy cold and your hammering it (not that you should hammer it when its cold) then it sould be fine.

The thing to remember is to check that it stays about the same value if it starts running at 2 instead of 3.5 on the motorway then start worrying as your oil pump maybe on the way out.

:) checked it today about 3.2-3.3 when hot (just under 100) at 90 mph so hopefully ok!! when ticking over about 1.6ish i think :wink:

mines just above 0 when warm on tickover.....cruisin at 90 ish is 3-31/2, raggin it.....well it hits the high needle lol
