Northy, are these supposed to be better than the willwoods?

How much is the willwood with bigger 172 disc package?

Anyone know if these will fit under the standard williams alloys? it says will fit under 15" wheels in the advert but i checked on K-tecs website and it says for the 300mm discs u need 16" wheels or larger although that is a different kit.

I have 285mm Discs under my 15" wheels and thats a very tight fit. And unless that caliper on that kit is much smaller than the normal one i dont see how it would fit.

good lad, make sure you take some photos (there is £950 worth of kit there)

well i'll tell u what i know.

the pads will need changing (or keeping for road use) as they will need alot of heat to bite. I was going to use pagid blues as they are a great all rounder.
The guy was supposed to be getting back to me to let me know if the disks were true and unwarped. (One of the wheels were ripped off complete with the caliper when the guy crashed it)
They were fitted to a race clio williams 1.

The calipers are .5kg heavier than a wilwood
The disks are 1kg lighter than a 172disk

And there are no bolts either.

Why didnt u use the buy it now option - they have been at £400 all last week ?

Hehe, they are to go behind my Turbines hopefully, If they fit that is.

As for pads, I have not decided yet, I wont at 1st be doing track days so will keep these pads for when I do and will have to get me some fast road pads.

I hope the discs are true, if not I will be doing a paypal chargeback for the cost of new discs anyway, so should I be covered. I dont have the funds in my paypal account so it will come directly from my card so even more protection.

Im guessing the discs are so much lighter then 172 discs because of the Alu bells. How much heavier are the Willwood calipers compared to the OEM calipers?

They sat at £300 all last week with a £450 BIN, I was prepared to pay £450 for them but I wasnt that fussed enough to BIN, was holding out for a bargain.

He's letting me sort my own courier aswell, so should save £12 there so saved £37 altogether, will put that towards some new pads.

standard 172 disks are 1kg heavier mate (from memory weighed them last week) as thats what im running, so your saving a bit but not asmuch as you think (i was shocked they weighed so much tbh).

He said they will fit behind a williams alloy (the raiderman says they wont) so its another comeback.

I was concerned about the accident - so i asked the questions. Make sure u check them all fully mate, including the bells !

Decided to email the fella and ask, this is his reply.....................

"I am 100% sure that they will fit inside std wheels .. I have just measured the disc and while I was told 300mm but they are actually 292mm The caliper is approximatly 22 mm greater radially. So you will need 292 +44 + a 5mm safety margin. If you have 341mm in your wheel that should do.If they don,t fit I would refund all but the postage."

Fair play to the guy :)

Measured the inside diameter of my Turbine and its 360mm so should be more then fine...................Fingers crossed anyways :D

I will make sure I have a good look at them, but im sure they will be fine if the were ripped off complete with the rim & tyre as protection :?

Just cant wait to get them fitte now :D
