What does everyone think?

I've liked these for ages and drove an AMG auto merc the other day and got the back end out on a round a bout without even trying!!!!

Checked insurance and its not too bad, ill prob keep the little clio but would love this as a second car!

All opinions welcome?

Danny

Well it would require, selling the clio, getting a good price for it, finding a nice 2.3 for a few thousand, then putting some work into it to make it mint!

Insurance, isn't much difference to the clio, not too sure about mpg, parts will be different, but it should be reliable and smooth!

10 yr old car is enough for me never mind a 19/20 yr old car..if you can find a good un for a decent price (unlikely IMO) go for it...

yer your right, there not getting any newer are they though and the cosworth built engines, so im sure they'll run for ages!

Who knows, i suppose i need to find out prices for parts before going any further, as oil filters might be expensive enough!

Runningt costs and problems with them can be very very expensive and make Clios look like cheap to fix cars.
I'd love one there true classic sbut running won't be cheap

I know its Italian and even worse a Lancia, but I've always had a soft spot for the Lancia Thema 8.32. Car was basically a pile of shite but the 3 ltr engine in it was lifted straight out of a ferrari 328!!

heh that's pretty cool imo... :D

ENGINE TYPE 12 valve, V6
DISPLACEMENT 2963cc
HORSE POWER 262bhp@5500rpm

An oldskool engine but still pushing more hp than the current V6.. and with less valves per cylinder

whats up with that ?!?

EDIT: Just realised why, it's a turbo lol

It was an old C-class like this.....http://www.carword.com/special/amg/AMG_07.jpg

It was nice!

The lancia ferrari engine sounds nice but the car looks crap!

Not into the reno, can appreciate the engine but not the looks!

There a few 190's on ebay at the mo!

a c36 AMG then, how come you got to drive one of those. I used to own a c43 AMG, they are good cars but like all mercs when they go wrong thye are very expensive to fix. http://www.freewebs.com/jackgilroy/DSCN0730.JPG

Hartge are a tuning company, like Alpina, Brabus, etc. They make some wicked Beemers, but are very rare so a genuine one. If you do get tempted by one, make sure it's a genuine one, because a lot are just normal Beemers with Hartge wheels/badges/gearknob.

They do loads of different models of BMW, but I'm not to up on model numbers, etc. :? If you do find one in particular though, give me a shout cos I know a man who will know :)
