View Full Version : Just had a Devil de-cat fitted....
...as the catalyst was knackered and sounded like a bag of bolts! F*ck me it's loud, but it seems to be bit faster and idle better. Altho it doesn't seem to have as much low down torque, is this a common trait of de-cats?
not noticed any lack of power when i fitted a decat mate. Just a big smile when it went quicker !!!!
are u now on a decat and cat back performance exhaust ?
it will make it louder - but thats a good thing.
It's definitely faster 4k+ revs but just noticed not as much low down torque, maybe it's just me being paranoid!

The fella at demon tweeks also commented about how clean the car was which made me very happy!

hmm - Mine is much better all round with de-cat fitted...
mine felt better all round to, esp 3rd gear on, but my old cat was dieing lol
losing a bit of low down is common with de-cats..........there aimed at producing power higher up the rev range .....so unless ur car spends time in these revs u wont really notice a diff :wink:
does it matter what decat ur buyin? jus ordered one from ktec, does anyone no nefin bout these?
all decats the same really mate just often marked with differnt make and thats about it

some decats are rigid and others you can vary the length and angle of the flanges
