View Full Version : sacking the vlaver manifold off.

had enough with the valver manifold. it coming off in favour of a supersprint which should arrive this week... also sacking my decat away for one where the flanges are flat. .. got the spirit level on and it hadnt been skimmed true. always wondered why i could never halt the blowing... still backfires tho ..lol.

valver manifold is good for torque, but it has majorly sacrificed mid range and top end power...
so as it stands:

2.0l megane btm end 1,8 head
cams, wildness unknown..lol more pointed than standard.
supersprint manifold
primachip(temp measure)

will be field testing a variety of maps this week/next.. in order for york dragway,

wouldnt it be better to run the megane 2.0 head out of intrest?

Are you going to get it remapped when you're done? 1.8 head will raise the compression ratio. In my experience upping the CR totally changes the ignition timing.

Lol the flanges on my decat were bent due too

I smacked mine with a hammer the other way....sorted.Suprised at you Gunner thought you would of done that yourself....lol

You running on sunday then? Had any comparisons yet to see how quick it is?

ive had some with jesus and 2live... was ok but they both eventually caught up and crept past.

certainly need a map.

yeah sounds like something is not quite right...I thought 2live's was running stnd now?

new one arrived today from the ebay seller.. minus any bolts and the extra bit for the downpipe to decat fitting.. typical!.. looking at it i could fit it with out...lol

no, he's a cheating fecker and put his chip back in after having a Williams 2 all over him ;)
