I have just got an indecently good quote from Greenlight insurance...so much so that I've treated myself to fully comp for the first time! :) If I had gone for 3rd party F&T I would have saved 240 quid compared to my renewal (which was'nt a bad quote).

My insurance has gone down from £2k to £1k, wiht CIS this year, 1 years NCB, and gone TPFT now.

How many years NCB do you need with greenlight?

aye I don't feel comfortable driving a car which is'nt totally legit now.....for the amount of money you save by not declaring all mods it's not worth it imo.

I'm not decaliring my conversion, or any of the internal work, never gonna claim anyways

Craig

but what if u hit 3 other cars and write them off! That would be a claim under your insurance and if mods aint declaired then you got 3 cars to fork out for!

its worth declairing them all mate! :)

what always worries me though is that someone goes into u...... ur car gets towed away and impouned, especailly if it is a serious accident.

Aye so when a '1.8' ahem valver makes over 150bhp atf you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it has a willy engine....

lol I've always declared my 2.0 valvers so no bother for me but I know a lot of people who don't.... you might just be unlucky..

Jamie.

i tired to get insurance on a 2.0 valver (mat browns actually before i got williams cos i wanted it legit) and alot of insurance companies wouldnt touch it, they just jept saying if u changed the engine u need to get the car retested at dvla or summit, so i dont understand what insurance companies will just insure an engine swap.
