You have to be careful, but people have done it to replace the glass section and keep the clear plastic surrounds on the early Mk1's. I think a heat gun is handy :)

I think rechroming is a time waste. Buy the newer ones with the black surrounds and take that black bit off then put the old clear ones on.

Those ones are as equally unavailable now :winkey:

Use the oven to warm the fog lamp up and follow as paddy said.

you can buy spray paint to recolour the chrome.

Brought a second set to try. Found a company that can re chrome them. Just need to find a way of putting them back together

Can you tell me what car did it come off?
I presume not a Williams, and the clio mk1 fogs don't look the same as the Williams mk1's

Williams, Valver & RSI use the same fog light in both forms

I think I've got a glass piece on it's own in 1 of my boxes of bits, lemme dig it out & you can have it

Hi Paddy
Wonder if you have found the fog light glass/foglight?
Also was after a battery clamp plate and a gold wheel hub cap if you have any to sell?

cheers
Nick
