Whilst scouring the scrappers i looked at the setup on the old sierra cars for air feeds.
The initial feed is a moulded oval shape which goes in to a decent quality ducting hose (1metre long.)
this fits perfectly next to the light and grille and will go over the airbox entrance hole.

I have carried out the mod on standard airbox, seems to induce more air in..

another position of fitting is if the moulding if saw down will perfectly fit over the front bumper blanking plate(once blanker is removed).

so the ducting is from :
sierra's in scrap yards.
for £1.50 its a bargain mod.

Isn't the blanking plate next to the fog light hole too small to get a decent amount of air in?

Stop being a pussya nd use the fog light hole, thats what they were put there for :P

just one of those blanking plates is about the same intake size as the throttle butterflies???

Personally I'd take a feed from both. This should be more than sufficient.
