Hi All,

New W2 Owner based in West Yorkshire, Had the Car a few months now & thoroughly enjoyed driving her the 4 days I did before ripping her apart for what was meant to be light restoration!
So far all the running gear is ripped off and either getting powder coated or replaced with New/Upgraded (Thanks to information found here)

Alright Jon, good to see you took the plunge, would be great to see some shots of the running gear etc

Car looks good on the outside, whats the current mileage ? Did you buy it with some known issues or do you just like tinkering or even future proofing ?

Nice on Alex

Alright Alex,

I bought it with a few very Minor faults and basically got carried away :)

(Drilled/Grooved), 182 Brake Servo & non-ABS Master...............................Just purchased these lol, What have you Planned for yours??????

That's it, its in the name, I'm just a slut for Clio Williams !

Its a 3 !!! Might try and look at a 2 aswell tomorrow, not that far from each other

Better not hijack Jons thread so if you want to continue maybe best to discuss on my newbie thread

Ha ha no problem with hijacking my thread at all, the W2 has 113k on her but the new engine and running gear will reset that, also managed to find a full set of door cards for her so she should be pretty mint when finished!!

Good luck with your viewing tomorrow, I had plenty of 309's when I was younger and a couple of 5GT's but always wanted a Williams and it didn't dissapoint 18years on :)

The engine needs a few more tweeks to get he upto the spec I set out but its nearly there, when shes finished it'll be:-

2.1 HC pistons
H-Beam Rods
Ported and polished head (double valve spring)
Mild Cat cams & pulleys
Knife edge crank
Full stainless system inc manifold-no cat
Race bearings
ARP bolts
GRP-A flywheel
Megasquirt 3
Dbilas 45mm ITB's
Mocal oil cooler
4-core alu rad
She should move fairly rapido :) :)

Youre going for a heavily modded car, I think I will try and keep mine standard, it depends what I buy...I also don't know as much as you, but I'm learning

The classic insurance is just a bit more than than an E36 M3 EVO at double the price and double the BHP !

Just shows how sought after and rare they are getting

Im keeping the original engine as its a mint runner and ,i have all the original brakes so if it ever comes to selling
it I can put it all back :)
Itll look standard other than the engine so should make a good sleeper aswell

This Forum has been like a bible for information so make good use

Yes its a good forum, Ive subscribed but not been upgraded yet, its £7.50 to see guides etc

How long did it take you to find the car you've got now ?

Ahh I'll have to subscribe too.

It probably took me around 6months, to be honest I only looked at 2 (In the flesh) and this one had a solid body but the running gear needed a bit of a refresh, I was lucky !
