Hello guys

I would be happy if anyone could help me with this one, as I am total noob.
I am from central Europe, have no idea how many Williams are in here.
Today I saw one Williams for sale, in a VERY rough state. It is rusty (which can be sorted with friends with some welding skills), and it is not in stock form.
What I can tell from photos, it does not have blue carpet, shifter, and also speedometer looks like from standard 1.8 clio. Why? Have no idea. Wheels are also missing.
The guy is saying that engine wise, it has no problems and it goes like sting.
He is asking 1300€ which is a lot, but he is open to negotiations.

Do you think it is worth saving? Have no idea how these things cost in Europe (left hand drive), and also how easy /difficult/ it would be to find missing original parts.
Please, see photos in album (and be prepared for the shock  ). Thank you all

Or the better question is. Is it really williams version? The more I look at it (again, I am total noob with these cars) the more I think not :)

It is clearly not a williams, and the shell is too far gone, it will cost you more in the long run... than buy a standard 16V 1.8...
The european market or left hand drive is already gone up... another 2, 3 years and UK williams will be around £8K/£10K bracket...
Still, the cost of restoring a car is expensive, best to find one now with TLC needed than complete rework!!!!

The id plate in the engine bay will tell you all you need to know

It will have C57D if the 1.8 16v & C57M if it's a williams

It's already at that point and beyond in some cases, 2 have sold within the last 12 months for over £20k
