Finally - I've been meaning to add this post for weeks! I recently bought this CW3 after searching for quite a while. Its in virtually mint condition having completely original paint and no sign of any body repair! a mere 42,000 miles on the clock - it has clearly been well looked after its whole life! the only mods are a Clifford alarm, Mongoose exhaust system and an air filter, although I cant tell which brand. Otherwise its in standard Renault spec. The Clio drives perfectly and I am very pleased with it. I hope to own it for many years to come.8-)

very very very nice car you have there.

So how did you end up buying it. As the auction ended - reserve not met?

what are your plans - original exhausts can still be bought from Renault.

I must say I found this forum extremely useful!! I will continue to use it avidly!!

Northy - basically the seller and I came to an arrangement in the end.

As for plans for the future - nothing for a little while as to buy it in the first place I've really really pushed the boat out and its totally cleaned me out!!!!

eventually I may change the exhaust but I think I would still like a stainless performance one rather than standard. I may well go for the original air box with kn filter to fit it though. Apart form that not much else. One thing I will do is change the number plates back to standard blue 'GB' on the left. In any case I'll be sure to post any significant changes on here:-)

No no no no....get a renault system on there you will be well pleased with the look and the results.

Other than that it looks spiffing!!!

Regards Ian

PS Keep it off those unmade roads:)

I put a standard Renault system on my w3. Believe me pal, stick with the stainless. If your actually using the car as intended you will seek a more pleasurable drive/sound. If your mothballing like most these days then go standard. But be aware they rust like feck those standard systems and look shite after a few months.

Good advice there sir - yes it is to be driven - so I think I'll leave as is for now. As mention no money to do anything for the time being anyway

thats the only thing letting the car down are those plates and exhaust. But the rest of the car is so good i can look past all that.

Get the originals back on.

Hi Tim
I was the owner of the Clio before selling it to my dad, I must say selling the Clio was the worst mistake in my life so far! I now have an Audi s3 and it does not compare.
If you ever want to sell the Clio I have cash waiting.
Look after it.
Deacon

Thought I'd just post a couple of pictures when I went with my mate and his RS 200 to Beachy Head Road. Nice sunset and a cracking driving road. Shame it was quite busy though!!

Thats very observant of you Ian! Yes its still on the 'to do' list. Actually I really like the sound I get from the Mongoose Stainless and really just want the tail pipe shortened by an exhaust specialist. Any you know of/would recommend in the Sussex/Surrey area????
