Definitely Phil, that brought back so many memories. At the time I must have read that a hundred times, I took a W1 for a test drive from Renault Ilford one day and understood totally the words on Barkers lips "that is sensational" especially when the engine was screaming on cam, we took the test drive out to some B roads in Essex. Then found a lower mileage car for sale in the window at Renault London City and bought it in 1995. Got married in 97 and bought a house, got stung for a tax bill in 98 and had to sell the car. Feel like I've done myself some justice now and feeling good. Can't wait for the summer now!

I wish they'd make a similarly low-spec-but-awesome-to-drive car now - instead, all the manufacturers seem to be on a moooooar powaaaa!! and mooooooar gadgets!! trip, which is stupid.
