View Full Version : Did Williams 1's come with rear speakers?
As title says.
Did they? As i was annoyed that i didnt have rear speakers, and found that someone had removed the speaker wiring to the rear!
After talking to Northy, he seems to recall they Williams 1's didnt come with rear speakers and neither did the W2? But W3 did.
Anyone else confirm this?
As if thats the case, no wonder im struggling to find wiring haha! And i shall just put my interior back together :lol: Should have asked first really before taking it all out :upset2:

My williams 1 has got rear speakers, just behind the rear seats, either side of the parcel shelf. The speakers are definitely too bad to be aftermarket ones too!! Maybe they were an option from new.

my 1 has rear speakers.. originals replaced with kickers mind as both cones were damaged
hmmm, interesting.
just seems like my rear speakers were never fitted and the wiring completely missing. Not cut out, just never fitted.

My williams 1 has speakers either side of the parcel shelf too, I also believe they must be original as sound quality is not the best to say the least!
what colour are your speaker wires guys?

ive got no wires and there doesnt look like anything has ever been fitted.
My W1 has speakers but they're busted and need replacing
The first williams I bought in the 90's had rear speakers too. I think they were standard. Williams 3 has the door speakers also and sound way better!

For this exact reason! Some saying they do have them, some saying they don't haha! Just need to decide if to fit them or keep it OE and not fit them! Easier not too tbh!

In my W2 the back speakers are behind the side panels at either side of the parcel shelf.
Even if the wires are still there I would recommend running decent cables if your putting in a new sound system.
