Yesterday I was driving along and the clutch cable snapped. I managed to get it back to the mechanic and call Renault London West up, apparently they have been discontinued. I have ordered a 16v one in desperation. Anyone got any ideas?

part number 6001025926 - what is the difference between the 16V and the willy cluth cable?

I bought a Pagid one from Euro Car Parts a while back, it lasted about 50 miles before the plastic boss that goes through the bell housing sheared off. fortunately, the old one was still in the bin so I re-fitted it, been fine since. I replaced it thinking there was a bit of friction in there?

had no choice but to buy the 16v cable, Reno stated that they dont recommend this but this is the only option.

Only thing I can think of is that it might be a thicker cable because of the stronger springs on the clutch pressure plate but I'm using a 16v cable in my car which has a much stronger sprung pressure plate than the williams & had no issues.

Do you have a number?, also the prices for a cable is £40 odd quid thieving gits, I brought a clutch pedal as well is there a instruction on how to construct the self ratcheting bastard? My mechanic has done his back so I am gonna have to do it.
