For some reason I'm getting a warm idle of ~1100rpm.

Any suggestions as to why?

Sticky idle control valve would be my 1st port of call, take it off & give it a good cleaning

Will do. I did clean it when it was off for the rebuild...I hope I wasn't too vigorous!

Did you give it a good dose of WD40 after cleaning it though?

I intended to, but can't remember if I actually did!

Cleaned it with carb cleaner and WD'd it to the max...no change. When I disconnect/reconnect the plug with the engine running, there's no difference. Ah well, what's another £130! New Bosch part on order [-(
