What would you buy for 6k?

If my car gets wrote off thats all I want to spend. Fancy a Cossie next or maybe a mk1 172 hmmmm. Decisions decisions.

4wd is not only better at getting the power down but has a stronger block for tuning I believe...or course a 2wd might be more fun...hehe :lol:

VW passat or Gold Tdi.
If I did less miles a 172 Mk1.
Just seen a Mk1 for £3.5k (43k on it) on autotrader now thats cheap even if it needs £1k or work ie new clucth or even a new engine installing.

Ooops Sorry thourght it was what I'd buy and I don't seem to fit in with most car forums memebers ideas. I'll go hang my head in shame but least I've still got a willy so I cannot be all bad can I?
Thinkign about it again now it would be £5.5k house deposit or somehting now and a £500 run about. I'm fed up living with the parents.

Buy a 2.9i Sierra XR4x4 for about £300 (check the rear subframe mounts), get the pistons pocketed, fit twin Cossie turbos & nitrous, get a remap, fit a straight through exhaust.

300bhp + nitrous, possibly the sexiest engine note ever, and will powerslide like no tomorrow.

Wish my dad still had his :-(

Id have to say get a scoob if you dont mind the fuel bills :roll:

But get a 98 onwards as thay have the better interior

A williams. If not a williams then a Teg. If it has to be anything other than FWD then only RWD will do IMO. I'd be looking at R32s or S14a 200SXs. Maybe an E34 M5 (3.6 version)

for £6k you could pick up either a standard and reliable rx-7 or a modified muther looking for an engine rebuild. if you are gonna buy an rx-7, do some research lol :wink:
