Messing around with the gauges and such at the moment.

Forgive me if this sounds stupid, but is there a way to change the exterior temperature reading from Fahrenheit to Celsius? I'm fed up of nonsensical old scales! :winkey:

Also, what type of bulb is used in the auxiliary gauges?

I think it might be depending on whether it was sold in UK or France/Europe. I noticed the 16v dash I took apart had a different part no. for the temperature display unit than the Williams, which is why I'd hoped it would be in C, but it's exactly the same...

there are two types of bulbs btw, one is the smaller version and one slightly bigger...ebay it...they are cheap as hell, if a bit of a pain to change :)

Just on this subject. I swapped my mirrors as it had phase 2 ones on for some reason. The old temperature worked fine. The new mirror sensor works intermittently from correct reading, flashing correct reading to just off the scale flashing temperature. I've tried to dismantle my old mirror to get the sensor out but can't seem to remove it.

never seen one reading in 'F' before.

Is yours a import then?

Nope, sold in Leeds. I reckon the temp display might have been from a Euro car then, swapped out in the past.

very strange? new one on me? the sensor could be proper fooked and reading a very high C temperature? they are prone to proper go funny and give some very high readings.

It definitely has a little F on the right :P

I noticed where the scale is on the right there is only enough shapes on the LCD to make an "F", or a small "C" out of the top section of an F.... Do you guys have an extra vertical LCD shape below the C?
