sorry i know this isnt a renault question, its for the missus!
she has a Fiesta Zetec S and wants to put an RS turbo engine in, when she asks things like this on ZSOC.com she get silly comments like "UR ONLY 19 YOU WONT INSURE IT", but thats not the point, shes loaded lol!!
anyways bak on topic, does anybody know how easy the conversion would be as she is going to buy an engine soon!!!

great cheers for the advice mate, she just wants to be different and have more power, shes bin inspired by a fiesta we just saw in town absolute rape the pants of a P1 impreza, it must have bin cosworthed or something :?
RS turbo engine is a total peice of crap!
Use a Puma racing 1.7 instead.

yeah ive suggested that one its just findin a cheapish engine, i really like the fast road pumas anyway

They're only 150bhp aren't they? And it'd cost more than an RST engine? Saying that, she's loaded, so that doesn't matter :roll:

:shock: Lol. Straight to the point. Agreed though, I would also recommend a conversion using one of the bigger Ford 16v's. IIRC a brand new 2.0 Duratec is only £1400 direct from Ford and supposedly responds superbly to tuning.
Dont know the exact dimensions of the engine, but if they go in an Elise, they should be able to squeeze 1 into a Fiesta.
duratec is actually a mazda engine and you'd need the whole gearbox and drivetrain assembly. But they are awesome in terms of tuning, especially the 2.3's.
Anyway, the RST engines are based on the pile of dog poo wheezyH (cvh), they dont make good power, breakdown all the time....and basically horrible horrible engines.
A 2ltr zetec would be a better choice, or if you must do it, a turbo zetec....but even the zetec is far from good.

best man to see is ben..red16 on cs.....hes got a 2.0 zetec for sale at the mo complete with turbo etc. he was fitting it to his rs 1600i scort but has bigger plans now lol

the conversion they do to the Zetec S is a 2.1 duratec turbo engine, apparently very reliable and easy 300bhp motoring.

i think red 16v engine went on ebay for £920!!!!
and have just been watchin a fiesta RS turbo engine that went for £72!!
i think she needs to make her mind up!

or........................ go to van alken and get ur zetec s turbod! costs £1300 fitted and will bring the 0-60 time down to 7.2 u get before and after print outs and the work is shit hot my friends got one turbod and he gave me a good run for me money down the local test strip!!! id get it turbod!!!!!!

not sure mate, i know they do have a web site but no idea what the link is, id personaly go for there conversion, my friends had no problems at all with hes and swares by there work

thats the one really good customer service my friend smashed hes up when he was a wee bit drunk {twat} and at the end of the ban they refitted the conversion to a new fiesta for nothing
