View Full Version : help - torsion bar tweakers & wheel bearing
Ok a little help guys..... anyone in the n/w know where I can get a wheel bearing changed (good job/does'nt cost the earth) in the next week or so? My usual garage is all booked up... Also anyone fancy tweaking me torsion bar for a few quid? :)
Cheers
no idea about a wheel bearing, you'll just hav 2 try a good local garage!
torsion bar - i would be happy to help, but you know how far away i live!! LOL
try doing it yourself - its realy easy, i did my first one the other day, only took a couple hours and that was going slow as fook and changing the rear shocks at the same time. think im going to re-adjust mine 2day - go maybee another 10mm or 20mm lower - should only take 30mins or so.
just use zed's guide on RSC, need a 30+mm socket and a couple M10 bolts with some nuts. WD40 b4 hand and then you will have no probs!
i dont my torsion bar in 45 mins on friday....both back wheels!
My front wheel bearing has gone also, so my old man is changing that....where r u in the UK mate?
n/w mate....hmmm seems all the n/w fellas are dossing might get some answers monday..
I know a man that can. ......PM moi
Martin, you could have tried my local garage fella, but i've been on holiday!!!!

my wheel bearing wants doing it, getting it done this weekend, also getting a cambelt change etc. let us no how u get on with the torsion bar doing Martin, i want mine doing as soon as pos now...!
just had my front wheel bearing fixed cost me £95 so sounds about right to me mate.
that torsion bar is a load of toss.
mine is lowered one notch already - and ive spend days trying to free the bar off...will it move - will it sack.
so i gave up and left it.
if it comes out first time then game on - if its seized solid - unlucky !
i thought my wheel bearing went, turns out its my CV joint from my 360spin,
MegaSpares want 45.00 for the cv joint each and then another 35.00 until i bring my knackered on back so they can get it refurbed then i get the 35.00 back.
Makin money of my spares the twats!
