Hi Guys, after owning and restoring a renault 5 turbo and a couple of other cars i decided it was that time in my life to buy a car that one of my mates had when i was 18 - The Clio Williams.

Ive been doing my research around here and other places for the past few months and decided i wanted a project, one that would keep me busy over the winter months, i bought this off a guy who advertised it on ebay and got messed around. at less than a grand i couldnt ask for alot. it needs some work with both arches gone and the sills well on there way. wish me luck!

Elliot

PS sorry for the poor ebay pics< once i get a nice day i will take some better pics

Hi Elliot,
Welcome to Williams ownership, I'm pretty new here myself and am just in the process of stripping my car down for a winter (maybe also spring and summer) refurb. I'm sure that I recognise the images of the car, was this for sale in Merseyside?
Whats your plans for the car then? Oh and good luck...

Hi Phil, i was waiting to see if anyone still used the forum before i splashed out the full £7.50. it seems very quiet around here compare to the forums im used to. just plan on tidying it up which will involve a lot of cutting, then a full respray before enjoying it! the engine seems to run fine even though it has done some miles. Yes the car was from chester so not to far from there. its been sat for almost a year so smells fusty and is damp.

Once you get under the clio you will recognise alot of Renault 5 sheet metal. The floor pans are very similar.

They used metal? My 5 GTT was made of papermache! Great car... *sigh*

Good luck with the 3 Elliot :)
