...need some advise from you williams owners...
right... i have had an ongoing rebuild as some of you may know... basically one of my shells had gone, scarring the crank..
i sent the crank away to have a regrind, but have just been told it has bowed - so is useless basically...
now, would you... a) buy a new crank for £320 + VAT or have a megane second hand one on 70k for £100 + VAT....??
im looking at selling the car soon, but i have to drive it daily, and really having piece of mind will always be good....
My main concern also roots back to WHY - why did it happen, i mean i have been told oil starvation, so obviously i dont want to put a new crank in, with new shells, fit it all together only to have it happen again. I tested the pump, and it seem to work fine... any suggestions, advise would be great.
