Can anyone tell me what sensor this is thats on the rad? Is it another CTS?

That's the fan switch for when the ignition is switched on

No worries that other one looked like it had an extension wire to connect to, wierd .

Chris - looks to me like your missing the male part of the loom, not the actual temperature switch in the rad.

Do u have the connector on the loom to fit that switch ???

Ill check tomorrow when im at the garage, his words were 'this sensor is corroded' so I asked for a picture and posted it on here. Will report back tomorrow

Of course it's correoded as it's exposed to the elements, if the inside part of it is corroded then fair enough but the garage clearly haven't removed that sensor to show a pic of the inside so I'd be telling them not to worry about it albeit in a slightly less friendly manner

i would say its the connector thats corroded - not the switch

Its the pin connectors on the sensor that have corroded, the loom side of things is fine :)

in that case you are right in ordering a new switch sensor
