Hi All, just wondering whats the best way to re-cover the heatshield.. the shape is good but its just the finish on it could be better as it also has tears in the metal.. just needs recovering as can be seen below..

you can buy heat reflective tape off ebay, not sure how wide the strips are so may not look 100% o/e but should do the job

had a quick look and you can buy sheeting, not sure how well you could contour it to fit but perhaps worth a crack?

Now the real challenge would be to find sheeting that looks like the original ph1 stuff

I've got some of that stuff on my car, it's a bit difficult to work with even on the metal heatshield I've used & I'm not sure the OE heatshield will stand up to being pressed & prodded etc to get it applied

the one i have at the moment seems to be very sturdy and keeps its shape very well.. its quite thick.. and looks like a fabric on the back.. quite hard to describe, it doesn't/wont bend or change shape.. ill try and get some better pictures.. off of someone on here.. forget who tho..

just so im sure and to check.. is that the same sorta stuff as the stuff coops linked.. minus the effect on the sheet..
