Needing some advice, done lots of forum searches but can't find the answer.

I have a narrow body mk1 with a Williams rear beam. The calipers were from an abs model. I got the smaller spacer to try a bring the beam to rsi spec but there is no way to tighten the hub up correctly or move the caliper far enough in.

So what exactly makes the rsi beam narrower?

Any knowledge or pics would help.

Thanks!

My guess would be the trailing arms on the outermost part of the beam being different

Thanks for the reply paddy, I could do with comparing two against each other. I was wondering if maybe the caliper mounting plate is different?

So the answer is..... The stub axle and calliper mounting are different the rest of the beam is identical to a Williams / 16V
