Hi All

Im after a little advice please as i am considering selling my williams 3, its a 95 N , currently on a genuine 63k miles, car is all original and has had the following work carried out over the past 3 years - new renault original exhaust , new front discs and pads , full service , all wheels refurbished by pristine in correct gold, with diamond cut rim . Internally the car is like brand new, including the boot, does not look like its ever been used, not a mark on the upholstery or carpets , has original renault mats , the suit carrier and jack/wheel brace etc , the exterior is very good, paint work has been professionally detailed and is really good, no rust at all anywhere on the car as far as i can see, all underneath has been waxoyled , arches and sills look perfect , the underneath of the doors and boot lid equally good , full service history from Renault dealers and a load of old MOT's and tax discs and receipts for lots of previous routine maintenance, original bill of sale too. working and non leaking sunroof and all electrics work perfectly on car , original cobra alarm/immobiliser/radio cassette all working fine , in my opinion its possibly one of the best out there , i am thinking of selling as i really do not use it due to work committments and the fact its a 3rd car , it sits on a trickle charger in a heated garage and has travelled less than 300 miles in the past 3 years, its a tragedy its not used more, hoping it can go to an enthusiast who will use it more than i have had the chance to , views on possible value appreciated , if i decide to sell, i will post up pictures and ideally offer to a club member

if you are genuinely interested i can email pictures , steve@pcs-systems.com

thanks

Steve

Sounds mint fella, to the right person it could be worth 4.5/5k but you might have to wait a while for that person to come along, depends how serious you are about selling.

Get some pictures up!

I looked at buying one for 5k on 43,000 miles at the time but it wasn't that good, and I didn't feel it was worth it.

Steve,

Seriously keep it nice and warm in the garage with the rest of your cars as a Williams that mint deserves to stay in your collection!!

Steve, how many owners has it had and how long have you own it? Also do you know if it's had any remedial paintwork.

If it's had no paintwork and there is no hidden body rust I would (a) hang onto it myself or (b) expect a very good price indeed.

A 13K miles Williams 3 sold recently for £10K. Even though yours has higher mileage this should not be a problem as body condition is the key thing and an immaculate interior
just adds to it

Good luck with the sale... I'm almost tempted myself.

Steve, having had another look at the pics the Williams stickers don't look original to me but as I am no expert I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.... in fact I sincerely hope I am.

The Williams decal looks ok on the sides, but the '3' is slightly lower and looks like there is no infil.

Thanks for all of your comments , the williams has had 6 owners before myself , the reason for sale is lack of use and the fact i have my eye on a 22 year old Honda NSX, id really like it to go to an enthusiast who will not only cherish the car, but actually use it more than i have had the chance to! im looking for offers over £5k , anyone intersted can contact me on here to view, car is in Cumbria or i can answer any specific questions or send any close up pics required. I am pretty certain that the rear and drivers side Williams 3 decals are totally original, the near side rear arch has had some remedial paintwork for paint blemishes/bubbling and had the Williams replaced woth an original, but the 3 is as good a copy as i could get, let me know if your interested

thanks and regards

Steve

Your valuation seems pretty fair (perhaps slightly under..) It looks a lovely original car... I recently bought a one owner willy "2" on 39k that needed a few bits and bobs doing for over £6k if that gives you a guide... Good luck with your sale.

To be fair mate. I would be looking to keep that. Especially in that condition as there is not many like that around and you will only regret selling....

Ive had quite a lot of initial interest in the car, took her out to get her MOT'd today in preperation for a couple of visits to view , glad to report she sailed through without any advisories! always knew she would, but a relief anyway!
