Second car to save putting miles on the Williams. Any Ideas? Would love an Focus ST170, but I only have £2000. Must be...

1. Reliable
2. Cheap to run (parts prices, servicing costs and 35mpg+ fuel consumption.)
3. Nice to drive (good handling but also refined)
4. No older than 10 years.
5. Equipped with air con
6. Unoffensive to look at and possess at least a tiny bit of street cred :P

Can only think of 306 XSi or Diesel, Almera GTi and er...

Not bothered about how fast it goes, I just know that Focuses drive really nicely, and I like the look of them! Even a 1.6 Zetec is too much though :(

306 Dturbo. I had a HDi model and it was ****ing fantastic. Handled brilliantly enough poke to have fun and look good.

I've already had a 306 D Turbo, fancied something different. Looks like I'm having another then... :)

Couldn't help myself, 306's are the best! '99 V reg HDi with full history, belt and clutch change, years MoT, all the toys (working!), leather and alcantara GTi6 seats, fancy headunit/speakers, decent Toyos.

....but it does have a slightly dubious respray in places, and a driveshaft and the ARB drop links are knackered, and the aircon needs a regas, and it's done 102k...

But for £1500, who can complain :P

should of got a 19 16v, although the 306 is smart, reliable and good on fuel. so not a bad choice 8)
