I recently bought a couple of new hub nuts for my Williams. The problem is that they are pretty different than the ones I have removed (see pic - old type on left and new type on right). The new ones have no nyloc and an integrated washer. They also look like they should be secured with a split pin. I called the Renault dealer that I got them from, and they were adamant that the part number has changed and these are the correct type (I'm not convinced they are right - why replace a nyloc nut with one without!). So, before I contact RPD to try and get the right ones, please can someone confirm my suspicions...

The part number of the new nuts is 82 00 964 237

Thanks,
Dave

I've seen these new nuts a few times now. I wouldn't worry. You can use them. I think those winglets clamp on as you tighten it.

I've reused quite a few old ones tbh, new or not, they won't be coming off!

Should be fine since you got them off Renault...

Id be slow using ones from "off the shelf" at the motor factors etc myself,

Excellent - thanks for the advice.
Yes, perhaps those winglets are just a fraction more narrow than the rest of the nut and so that will stop it from coming off.

Thanks, again,
Dave
