Does anyones williams power steering make a groaning noise when you are moving at low speeds? eg shunting in and out of a car park space??
Just wanted to know if its normal..
Cheers
Mine makes a faint noise when on or near full lock, but i think iys normal on these cars for the power steering to be noisy.
fill up your power steering fluid dude, if it is dry it will make a low grinding noise or 'shunting noise' in your ears 8)
Mine made a groaning noise for ages and the fluids were ok. It needs a new pump now though. £200 from Renault
I use STP's power steering fluid additive (blue bottle)

Just a bit stops the sqeaking and also smoothen out the steering a bit. You should be able to get something similar in most car accessories places.
mine sounds like it has air in it, it bubbles all the time, like when a radiator system has air it in :/
but i have tried to get the air out but doing the lock to lock with no power about 10 or so times and then the same with the power on, but it still makes the sound and the tank is full :S very strange
mine dus it every now n agen on nr full lock and my m8s valver dus it all the time on full lock
mine was really noisy for ages. when i changed my worn track rod end and sorted the tracking it was fine ...
