I'm replacing the rocker cover gasket gasket on the williams, it would seem however the gasket i brought is not 100% correct fit. It has strips that go across the cam carriers and wouldn't actually mate to any surfaces when put back together.

Would best course of action be to just leave these or trim to fit? I'm leaning towards modding it! but wanted to know if anyone else has has this problem?

I got it from ucp with a few other services bits! Am sure its for an f7p engine maybe? As i cant see what those strips are for as they wont mate to any surfaces! Think will just trim them off and like you say use the sealant whiich i also brought

Pictures i see on the internet tend to suggest what i have is correct....but you know when something doesn't seem to look right....if you have a pic you can send over tomorrow would be great can put my doubts to bed then....

Don't worry about the overlapping bits, they're for keeping the whole gasket together so it's all in one piece :winkey:

You have a gasket for a 19 16v, as they have a different pulley cover with no top mount.
