JB3-094 gearbox

Anyone know for definite what this gearbox is out of?
The guy I had it off said it was from a 19 16v, but I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, so far so good as I fitted it today and have covered a whopping 4 miles so far without any probs. :roll:

JB3 is a valver gearbox im almost certain of that

Thing is the JB3 was used in stacks of Renaults, as my Kangoo box is also a JB3. Wondered if anyone could decipher the last 3 numbers.

Its definitely much higher ratios than the Kangoo one thats for sure.

nah it's not the year of manufacture, as the R5 box is a JC3-024... which would make it quite old... lol

Hhmm. Wonder what its off then? Could even be a diesel box as the ratios feel very tall. Either that or the ratios in the Kangoo box were exceptionally short. :?

Never mind, it'll (hopefully) keep me going for now.

You need to splash out on a new Willy box from Reno with 12 months guarantee, that way you'll have a new box every 6 months FOC.

i had a box out of a 19 16v and it was an 093 had a slightly higher top end and 4th was 124 on standard limiter (valver) now ive got an 064 (i think) and i think it would probably hit the limiter somewhere around 165 lol seriously mental using a diesel box, but now i need lots more power to pull 5th like it should do lol
