bird shite on bonnet :(

biggest bird shite ever on my bonnet, cleaned it off and polished and and buffed up bonnet but it has marked .... Left a stain. Please tell me a resprayed bonnet is not the only way forward??? Any good products that can help???

Got this on my other car mate its left a dull patch I have tried a few things with no luck :( maybe try and DA out

Try claying the surface, but to be honest the best way to get it out is by machine polishing it. Using a DA or rotary will work fine along with Meguiars ultimate compound.

My guess would be trying claying too and maybe have a go with Tardis (I know its a tar remover but if its used for stubborn marks it may well work)

Won't need a respray, just elbow grease. I watched a documentary about a detailer once (there was nowt else on the telly!) and he had a microscope and he zoomed in on a presumably clean area where a bird had took a shit and to the eye it was clean, however there were tiny traces of shit still in there. A DA should work a treat.

Oh, and I'd recommend dumping the bird.

Random orbital polisher, speed 4 or so, light cutting/polishing product (Meguairs #205 perhaps). Soft first run, hard/medium pressure after, folowed by no pressure other than polisher weight for a few passes. Then just wax or whatever...

Good news. The acid in bird shite eats paint. If you apply a paint seal product like Supagard it will protect the paint.
