Thought so, many thanks. Just gathering ammo. Will keep people posted on this one as it might be a good one for the.forum

Any other ways to tell what the shell is. Apart.from the vin plate On the landing panel, the.vin number etchedp on the drivers suspension turret, I'm good with engine codes, block codes and gearbox codes, subframe, wishbones rollbars etc.

Is there any vin numbers etched anywhere.else on the car that isn't listed above? Like in sneaky places. First port of call is she a c57m or a c57d

Andy.

Well the most simple & easiest thing to do is a DVLA vehicle check https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/app/enquiry?execution=e1s1 :winkey:

If I buy it, it's getting stripped for my spares dept, just need a few parts, ecu code I'm after ends in 107. Just the shell I'm curious off for loom etc

Any other vin locations?

Embrassed yourselves here guys....

YES - SOME LUCKY ONES DID!

I have seen a pair of williams 3's with no sunroofs - one car was owned by a club member. How they came over here we will never know but it was a true williams 3 with no sunroof.

Well I bought the car in question, reason it had no sunroof is the guy welded it up as it was getting built for a track car and your not allowed to have sunroofs apparently. Will post a few pics of what I bought 2mMoro nite.

No it was getting made into a track car, but never made it to the track. It was getting a cage and a single seat, the guy had started to strip the doors down of excess weight. So they are bin bound, also included was a brand new bonnet with the Reno part number still on it, just in primer didn't even think they were still available, I bought it just for the spares side of things, shell is also bin bound after I'm done stripping, as it was at good money. It also helped that there was a set of speedline turinis on it which I always wanted a set which will be going into my work for some special treatment, watch this space,.all engine codes, gearbox codes, ecu codes, shell codes all matched up fine,
Here it is, and yes it's black, it was getting a million stickers. It even has the Williams kick plate vinyl strip, now black also
