View Full Version : Do i really need new shock absorbers if lowering my willy 2?

Hello all,

Please help i have a willy 2 on pretty much new standard shocks (just over a year old) but want to lower it by 35mm or 50mm (ideally 50mm) but every single website i go to all say i need shortened shock absorbers ie koni/spax etc. really want to lower it (mainly for looks) can anyone help? also has anyone got f and r for sale?

Just leave it as is. They are good enough standard and look shocking with a drop.

Agreed - if it has the correct suspension it should look purposeful enough! If your set on lowering I would just go for 15mm kit

Yea, bollocks, you don't have to have new dampers. Springs and just adjusting torsion bar will do for starters, coilovers are next tbh though!
