View Full Version : any1 had headwork done at hillpower??

hello all, 1st post on this forum,
ive got a clio 1.8 16v which i have brought a 2.0 from a williams for, the eng is with hillpower at the moment and i have been considering getting some headwork and cams fitted while its there. anybody been to hillpower and had this done, what increse does it give and how much u pay??

yeah ive had all the headwork done at hillpower and its pretty awsome, not sure on the power but i know ive had just over 155MPH whcih aint too bad, i think i payed just over £3000 for it all and nick is also a real nice guy!
does a good throttle body conversion for the valver, thats wat i want next from him

£3000 sounds quite a lot , what did you get done ???

Piper vernier pulleys
cam belt and tensioner kit
alternator belt
cylinder head gasket set (uprated)
chip upgrade to stage 2
alternator mountain bracket
water header bottle
spark plug set
and oil filter

sorry got it totally wrong, the invoice for all that work, fitting and VAT came to £1550 :oops:

Thats a good price, comapny in bromsgrove will port and polish a heasd for arounf £300-£400, cams are around £500, plus fitting and pullies, chip is arpound £300 ish

erm not run a 1/4 mile yet but the first time i had it on the rollers it was just pushing 122BHP at the wheels but have had it remapped since then!
but good point about it is its damn reliable, ive never ever had a problem with it, and nick did a great job!

How does your valver compare to a standard'ish one? im used to mine and i want more poke!

well to be honest it doesnt accelerate alot faster, dont get me wrong its still quicker but u can notice it wen u hit 80MPH, ive surprised alot of bigger cars that think im gonna slow down at bout that speed but it just keeps pulling hard right up to about 130MPH, i was pretty impressed wen i felt wat it can do, next on the list is throttle bodies and a 2.0LTR bottom end!!! :wink:
